$7,500.00

This second ancient lion's head doorknocker (MAB 2) appears to be a companion piece to MAB 1. Both were probably mounted on the same Roman door in Syria around the 1st Century A.D. Undoubtedly designed to signify the power and importance of the home's owner, it is a beautifully molded and complete bronze assemblage but unlike the ring on MAB 1, the ring on MAB 2 no longer moves. Measuring 7 1/4" across, this doorknocker weighs 3 1/2 pounds, a little more than MAB 1. And It too still ...click for details

$250.00

A little coarse and somewhat pitted, this ancient Egyptian bowl (102.70GHD) was long on display at the now closed Collector’s Memorial Museum in Farmington, New Mexico. Just a bit over 5 ½” in diameter, the bowl is in overall very good condition with only a 1 1/8” chipped area on the inside of the rim to detract from its simple, graceful form. Brought into the country in the mid 1930s by a merchant mariner, it was part of a small collection dated by a contract archeologist into the XXV-XXXI Dyna ...click for details

$1200.00

This spectacular hand-carved 17” long ‘ceremonial club’ (KJH87) was purchased by Ken Hladek in March 2003 (as he recalls, it was an estate sale and the item number was 0962..."INDIAN TRADE WAR CLUB - LUKA) at a Lolli Brothers auction in Macon, Missouri. The only information that came with this lethal-looking weapon was a note that it was from the William R. Gauld collection of Elmo, Montana, a town located well within the boundaries of the Flathead Indian reservation. Many other items offer ...click for details

From the Island of Jaina, and measuring 3 ½” in height, this miniature seated monkey vessel (RFM21) is attributed to the Late Classic Maya dating c.550-950AD. Glued together with 5-10% of professional restoration on the upper part of the ‘basket’ that the monkey supports on its back, the bowl may have been used for an offering.
