This print titled “A Tale” is an original Japanese lithograph with hand coloring by Toko Shinoda. This beautiful print was acquired directly from the artist’s studio. Never framed or mounted in any way. Excellent condition, slight ripple next to embossed stamp of Shinoda's long-time printer Kimura-san. Measures about 15 x 11 paper size. Pencil signed and numbered 31/38 and dated 2002.
Shinoda's red colorized prints are among her most desirable prints which collectors search for.

This limited edition, stencil print by Sadao Watanabe is a beautiful and unique interpretation of the Nativity.
On brilliant red, this interpretation of the Nativity is divided into several areas. Mary, the Christ child, and an adoring King are shown in the stable, as others make their way to visit. The print was printed in 1970 and is signed in white ink. It is numbered 18/50. The print measures 23 X 27 1/2 inches. The print is in excellent condition.

"Combing the Hair" by Torii Kotondo was originally printed in 1933 in an edition of 21 prints. This print is from a limited later edition of 100 prints which were printed ca. 1980. The publisher was Ishukankokai,as indicated by the red moneybag seal. It was carved by Ito Susumu and printed by Kajikawa Yoshio on watermarked paper. The image measures 10 1/4 X 16 1/4 inches. This gorgeous print is in Pristine Condition.
