Here is a very fine porcelain box, marked "Made in Saxony" and dating to the 19th century. On the lid is a painted portrait of a mounted military figure in traditional European regalia. All sides have applied gilt decoration, but most has worn off the lid and the area around the clasp, which is made of bronze. On the bottom is some information, most of which has worn away. This is reminiscent of Sevres and Meissen porcelain, but bears no mark other than an artist's mark on the b ...click for details

This is a hand-painted smoking set from the late 1800's featuring a dapper fox reading and holding a drink. It bears the Karl Schneider mark and is numbered. It is almost 5 inches tall and 4 inches wide. There appears to have been a repair to a break from long ago. This is almost impossible to see from the front, but is visible on the bottom and back where a slightly darker colored bonding material was used. The price reflects this repair. Karl Schneider founded his porcelain manufacto ...click for details

I'm pretty sure this is/was part of a double boiler, or a bain-marie (water bath en francais). This one is very large, very heavy, and has a fabulous patina. It looks wonderful whether it is filled with nuts, pinecones, fruit, or potpourri (as shown). Measuring a generous 16 inches in diameter it dates to the early 1900's.

This is the most rare, exquisite little Vienna bronze 6-piece fox orchestra! It is just tiny and the detail is truly amazing! There is a conductor, and a fox playing a flute, a horn, a drum, a violin, and a cello, each one being about an inch tall. Amazingly, there are no missing pieces, only some paint loss due to age, which is expected. Their "stage" is a antique carved wooden model of a horse hoof, probably used in veterinary or farrier school. This little collection, which dat ...click for details
