This is a handsome ashtray made of alabaster, with three very detailed painted spaniel figures. It is heavy and solid, and is about 6 inches in diameter. Condition is very good. There is a hairline crack in the dish that extends less than 2 inches. And the three dogs have a few paint chips and some all over crazing of the paint surface.

An elegant circa 1920 inkwell made of polished agate with gilded brass fittings. The stand of the inkwell is a remarkable anatomical model of a horse hoof fitted with an incredibly detailed shoe. The shoe is decorated with crossed riding crops. The jockey cap, which forms the lid of the well, is so detailed that you can actually count the stitches on the bill.
