This is an adorable little corner chair with a happy, bright needlepoint seat featuring a pug. The chair dates to the mid-late 1800's and shows several old coats of yellow and gold paint, all chipping off at various stages, giving it a wonderful warm patina, very shabby chic! And the needlepoint seat is divine, even though the tapestry is much more recent- probably dates to the 1970's- it is perfect for this chair. The size is around 18 inches square and 26 inches tall. This is a stunning little Italian chest or commode, warmly painted in the Venetian style, dating to the late 1800's or perhaps the early 1900's. The painted surface retains its original rich patina and does have a great many age appropriate crazing, chips, and scratches. The left handle on the bottom drawer is broken, which is visible in the pictures, but we do have the broken piece and it can be easily restored.
