This is a really unusual, very early, primitive inkwell. The glass reservoir is sunk into a block of wood and is topped with an ill-fitting stopper that features a tarnished silver fox mask that is remarkably well defined. Very charming!
This is a gorgeous, ornate crystal inkwell displaying a horse on the heavy brass lid. Dating to the late 1800's this inkwell measures 3.25 inches square and is 2.25 inches tall, including the lid. The condition is very good, with no cracks or chips. The lid shows some minor scratches as well as some discoloration and residue from being polished in the past, but the somewhat worn patina only adds to the charm. Original price was 235.00.
A lovely matched pair of crystal inkwells with silver plate lids in the form of jockey caps. These date to the late 1800's. There are some significant chips on one of the inkwells and both have scratches from use. Almost 2 inches square. A handsome pair for a desktop.
