This is a map entitled "Places of Meeting of the Hoar Cross Hunt". It is a lovely old original map with hand tinting on age toned paper and prominent fold lines. According to my research this map was created by John Dower circa 1843. The area encompasses Staffordshire, Derbyshire, and Leicestershire counties. It is housed in a period birdseye maple frame that measures 17.5 X 15.5 inches. The actual map measures around 9 X 7 inches.

A lovely sepia portrait photograph of "Dutchess" in a traditional, quaint, English stable yard. This photo dates to the early 1900's and was placed on an ornate, hand-decorated title mat, telling us that Dutchess was a very special mare. The frame, measuring 9 X 11 inches, is not old.
Here is a framed antique photo of a polo team, posed around a magnificent trophy, which someone may recognize. The thatched roof may indicate an Asian location, perhaps India, where many Brits formed polo teams during the days of the British Raj. The size of this framed piece is 15 X 12 inches. A nice looking bit of historic polo memorabilia!
