| Superb, rare, Wedgwood covered game/hunting tureen with a lid topped with a hare finial/handle. Matte tan earthenware exterior with a glazed interior and a vent hole beside the rabbit. The warm, exterior has varying degrees of color; some areas are signficantly darker, naturally occurring in the clay or from the firing process. It is richly decorated with high-relief game animals. Condition is excellent- no cracks, chips, or repairs. The bottom is signed with an incised 'Wedgwood' and some other marks, not readable. This tureen is 10.5 inches long, 8 inches wide, and 5.75 inches tall (to the top of the rabbit). Original price was $950. | ||
