| Large watercolor painting from England, circa mid to late 1800s, signed J. F. Herring. Very well rendered, lots of action and detail, a typical Herring! The painting is affixed to a thick card, which is signed "Herring" at either corner and on the verso. Condition is fair with a good bit of fading of the colors, which is pretty typical of watercolor paintings of this age. There are also several surface scuff marks and scrapes, but these do not detract at all from the piece. It is matted and framed in a period simple gilt frame circa 1850, that measures 26 X 18 inches. | ||
