A very original and uncommon phurba, the top figures a bird whereas the stick shows the classical iconography of shamanic phurba.NOTE1 that this phurba is not carved in a single piece but the bird and the stick are joined as often with this kind of phurba.NOTE 2 the top of of stick shows 4 very nice faces of ancestors, NOTE3, the blade which usually shows 3 face , consists in 8 faces in the phurba presented here This kind of Phurba likely belongs to Gurung people. A primitive stylized ghurra, showing a protector or an ancestor in Namaste position ,( hands joined). Red mud (Rato mato) encrusted patina, obvious signs of used age can 20 to 40 years Height 24 cm , the piece is nicely presented on a metal stand

This is a very exceptional Tika box , XXXL size , fantastic patina, perfect conditional except a stain of paint on the bottom Sizes are 37 cm long, 15 cm wide and 11 cm hight Age is at least from 19Th but could be also as early as 18th

A classic but very old with a very nice glossy hard black patina.Age could be very close to 100 years, 3 ancestor faces, Note that one has been wounded likely by fire but this happened long time ago as the wound is again recovered by the same patina. The carving of the Mahara and Naga is superb and recovered by a wonderful patina Height 26 cm , although the design appear classic , it is a very representative one The phurba is presented on a metal stand

An Important phurba showing a double set of 3 ancestor faces, the Makara mouth and the Naga (the snakes on 2 sides of the triangular blade are deeply craved, on the third face of of the blade , obvious signs of long use much over 50 to 79 years The possibly that this phurba was first carved as a dyangro handle which has been reworked to make a phurba could not be discarded, Height 30 cm , The phurba is nicely presented on a metal stand
