The design is in gold overlay enamel on the classic tan crackle glaze that is characteristic of Satsuma. It measures 4” high and is 4” diameter at the waist. It is in excellent condition and has a signature on the base – not translated. We date it to the late Meiji period, circa 1890-1910.
