| Miniature bone ivory teapot- decorated on one side with an incised design of a flowering bush and on the other with two delightful small frogs - the frogs done is a combination of inlaid green tiles (possibly turquoise) and black ink. The teapot appears to be only a decorative piece and not a functioning one as I could not get water to our from the spout - either that or it could be stopped up with some old detritus. Excellent condition - no chips or cracks. We date this from the first half of the 20th century and believe it to be Chinese in origin. Measures 2" high to the top of the finial on the lid, is 3 ½" wide from the end of the handle to the tip of the spout and the body is 1 ¾" oblong diameter. | |||||||||||
