| This is a beautiful high quality silver 84 cup, very nice engravings. It is in excellent condition, made in in the late 1877s in Russia. Marked on the bottom with the date "1877" with a BC and number "84" and other markings we can’t make out. The carved design all around the cup is definitely of Russian origin. '84' is the standard mark for Russian sterling, and 'BC' is the maker's mark. The cup is a very small Kiddush cup (Judaica) or simply a standard vodka, 'charka', cup. The hallmarks, shape, workmanship, and decoration are all consistent with Russian sterling cups. On this piece, the engraving seems to be fairly well-executed. The patina is lovely. The cup measures just under 2" inches tall and the top measures 1 5/8" inches in diameter. | ||||||||||
