A Group of Five Stacked Pottery Jarlets - Meiji/Taisho
A most unusual Japanese pottery piece which consists of five small jarlets - four on the bottom and one at the top - joined together with four loop handles and luted together at the sides. The pottery has a dark brown glaze - no mark that we can find. The piece measures 6 5/8" diameter by 5" high and is in excellent condition. We believe this to be an early 20th century studio piece dating from around 1900-1930 - could be even earlier.
