| An extremely charming and detailed painting of five young Chinese children at play decorates this finely potted porcelain wrist wrest for the scholar's desk. One of the children even appears to be playfully pulling on his friend’s pigtail. Painted in the Famille Rose palette, this exquisite accessory to a scholars desk would make a fine accompaniment to any modern desk. We date the wrist rest to the early to late 19th century, Qing Dynasty. The piece measures 7 3/4" (19.69 cm)long x 2 1/4" (5.72 cm)wide and stands 3/4" high (1.9 cm) at the top of the arch.
