ISLAMIC GLASS JAR, 1100 -1200 AD. Very Fine and rare early Islamic glass vessel with highly opalescent surface (due to prolonged exposure to the soil elements glass accumulates platinum silica which causes a beautiful iridescence ). Globular body whit long neck, all jar are decoration in fine white lines.
MEASUREMENTS: 6 cm. High;
CONDITION: Good, restoration;
PROVENANCE: Acquired at Pierre Berger, Paris, France. Auction April 29th, 2006. (Lot 397) / All items that we offer for sale will be combined with an export approval issued by the ministry of the Spanish culture department and certificate of authenticity.
