A small celadon jade boulder with russet markings, carved on one side with an immortal beneath a pine tree and a flaming pearl, a pagoda in the distance, the reverse carved with a robed female holding a large lotus, the upper area with 8 character inscription inlaid with gold and followed by a seal, dated to the xin chou year (possibly apocryphal or corresponding to 1901 or 1961). 20th Century. 5.75 inches tall.
A rare Japanese figural coral snuff bottle well carved as a heavenly maiden, the head serving as the stopper, the base carved with feet, the figure with elaborate robes and holding a parrot. 6.7 cm tall. Mid 20th Century.
