| A stunning large Museum-quality Buddhist Stupa/Pagoda Wooden Statue. Stands at 96 cm and 42.5 cms on both sides. It is explicitly known to have been made during mid-late Edo Period and is gilted with KINPAKU or gold leaf and generous red lacquer all over. Truly a symbol of Japan, reminiscent and resembling Kyoto's Kinkaku-ji or Golden Pavilion. A rather exemplary piece to any discerning Buddhist Art collector. Pictures rather speak for themselves of its superb quality given its history and age. | |||||||||||||||
