Edo Period Japanese KARAJISHI Shishi Lion Foo Dog Statue - Cast Iron Okimono This outstanding depiction of the mythical creature Karajishi is one of its kind, nothwithstanding its humungous size and form. Truly a work of art and excellent craftmanship and the present has been lucky that time has let this piece survived since Edo period. Minor age-related loss on luster which resulted to its current patination. The botan (Peony) flower is something to admire as well.
