Edo~Meiji Period Magnificent Tetsubin - Excellent Urushi Lacquered (Makie) Cover. The motif of the design used is based on kiku (Chrysanthemum) or the official flower of the Imperial Court of Japan. There is a little chip on the cover which is otherwise a living proof its importance and history. Height x Diameter = 20.8 x 18 cm. Opening Diameter = 13.9 cm. Comes with a pauwlonia Kiri Box.
