Item Condition: This pretty Moderntone Children's Dishes Set was produced by The Hazel Altas Glass Company in the 1940s and 1950s. These sets came in several different color combinations. Our child's set was sold with this green, grey, chartreuse, and burgundy, color scheme. This beautiful set is in Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage. Moderntone is one of the few 40s / 50s glass dish sets that offered a Child's set like Mom's. This 16 piece set is in its original Little Hostess Box. The box is in good condition. It is intact and the insert dividers are still inside. There are some water marks on the box and some of the paper has buckled up. There is some faint writing on the box. The top of the box has the price of $1.39 written on it. I don't know if it is the original store price, or if someone sold it at a yard sale at one time or another. We purchased the set from a dealer at a antique market. Most of these sets were sold as Little Hostess Party Sets. Moderntone sets were produced Circa the 1940s and 1950s by the The Hazel Altas Glass Company.
