We are thrilled to offer for sale a RARE Westmoreland #1 Hen on the Nest. We purchased this Hen about 15 years ago from an elderly gentleman here in Ohio who made a habit of visiting all of our glass factories on a regular basis. His collection included many rarities from Fostoria, Imperial, Fenton and Westmoreland. He purchased this striking piece in the early 1970s. We were so impressed with the hen that we have kept it in our collection until now. Some of our other collections are growing so much that we need space and had to make some tough decisions about what to keep. Since we really only collect Westmoreland vanity items we decided that this beautiful piece belongs with an animal or Westmoreland collector. Our colorful Hen is in Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage. The swirling is fantastic!! The hen is marked with the Westmoreland backstamp. Original Westmoreland hens with unusual colors like this one has are extremely Rare. We guarantee this Hen to be genuine Westmoreland produced circa the 1970s.
