Condition : This pretty, scarce Hex Optic sugar shaker / dispenser is in Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage. There is some common scratching on the bottom where the shaker has been sitting. The color is the pretty even green color. The metal lid is in GOOD CONDITION but does have some wear and very minimal rust from age.

HEX OPTIC - (pink, green, Ultra Marine (seldom found), iridescent) (1928- 1932)

The Jeannette Glass Company produced a line of glassware called Hex Optic in the late 1920s and early 1930s. This pattern is most often found in pink and green. Some pieces may be found in Ultra Marine, but only a few of the pieces were made in this color. The pattern, while not unique is unusual because of the fact that it included many kitchen glass items in its listing. The set was sold as a luncheon set, and to date there has been no dinner plate found. Other companies did make a Hex Optic style dinner plate, so if you really want to add this size plate to your collection it is possible. There are numerous serving pieces available (mostly kitchen item style), which makes collecting this pattern fun. Some notable items made in the Hex Optic pattern include a rectangular butter dish, a mixing bowl set, a sugar shaker, and a stack leftover set. There are also several style pitchers and 6 different size tumblers to go with them.
