Franciscan Desert Rose Vintage USA Piggy Bank

Our lovely piggy bank in the Desert Rose pattern was produced by F. Gladding, McBean and Company (often referred to as The Franciscan Company). This stunning bank has been reissued. However, this is one of the older ones with the number in the bottom and the old rubber style plug (please see the photo below). The pig is signed with a number which is how the early pigs were signed. The hand-painting is lovely --- another way to tell the difference between the older and newer banks. It is beautiful. The newer version doesn't have the color or detailing that this one has. This stunning vintage Desert Rose pig bank is in UNDAMAGED CONDITION without chips or cracks. It is free of disfiguring mold or production imperfections. Finding one of these older pigs (made in the USA) is not an easy task.
