Westmoreland Early Pink Heart Candy Ormolu Holder

We are offering for sale a seldom found heart shaped Westmoreland candy box. This candy is shown in a Westmoreland catalog from 1924. This mold was used by Westmoreland later for some of their Milk Glass patterns, but even the later boxes are rarely seen. I have never seen one of these Depression Era boxes with a wheel cutting, and the wheel cutting on this one is exceptional. The ormolu holder for the candy jar is obviously original and fits the heart shaped box perfectly. This would make a lovely trinket box for a bedroom. The glass parts of this candy dish are in UNDAMAGED CONDITION without chips or cracks. They are free of disfiguring mold or production imperfections. The box is nice and clear. The metal (ormolu mount) is in EXCELLENT Condition. However, there is some wear form age and use. The cupids had a silver finish while the metal surrounding the box was done in gold. Some of the silver and gold finish has worn off. The box can be used with or without the ormolu mount, but I think it really adds to the overall look. Thanks for checking out our listings.
