Gn Satin Depression Tweety Bird Vanity Set / Powder Jar

We are thrilled to offer for sale a fantastic Depression Era "Tweety Bird" vanity set. Complete sets are very hard to find. When found, they usually have damage or they are missing parts. The lids are made of a plastic or a bakelite-like material and are usually damaged as well. This striking set was made in pink satin, blue satin, and green satin. I have seen a cologne bottle in crystal and a tray in crystal satin. Since these sets are most often found in the United States, and because of the colors I suspect that they were produced by the U.S. Glass Company. However there is no documentation at this point to prove this. These sets were made for Dermay, Inc. Of New York. The powder jar and bottles are stamped with the Dermay logo. Dermay would have owned the molds for this set and commissioned them to be made. The embossed logo on this set is so faint that you have to hold it to light and use a magnifying glass to see this. The Tweety Bird set is one of the nicest bath sets made during the Depression years. This beautiful set is in UNDAMAGED CONDITION without chips or cracks. It is free of disfiguring mold imperfections. If you collect powder jars or vanity items from the Depression Era, you will love owning this lovely set.
