A fine large and good quality 18th century antique Japanese Imari porcelain jar, attractively decorated with three large shaped cartouches containing flowering branches painted in red, blue, orange and gold, surrounded by orange and white circular flowers with gold leaves against blue-ground, the glaze finely crackled allover. Later wooden cover and stand included.

A very rare 17th century antique Japanese Arita blue and white porcelain ewer, the ovoid body surmounted by an everted neck and loop handle, painted in strong underglaze-blue with three panels of flowering branches on a ground of scrolling flower heads, the neck and handle similarly decorated.
