A fine and unusual late 19th century Chinese Guangxu mark and period blue and white porcelain stem dish, of small size, nicely potted and finely painted in underglaze-blue with scrolling lotus flowers, lower portion of the stem decorated with breaking sea waves, underside glazed white and neatly inscribed with an evenly-spaced six-character Guangxu reign mark around the inside foot rim. DATE : Chinese, Qing Dynasty, mark and period of Guangxu (1875 – 1908).

MARK : underglazed-blue six-character Guangxu mark around inside foot rim.

SIZE : approximately 2 1/2" (6.3 cm) high, 3 1/4" (8.3 cm) top diameter.

CONDITION : in perfect condition, just a few production pinhead size glaze frits around the top rim only. No other damage or repair noted.
