Fine & Rare 18th C Chinese Qianlong Period Celadon Vase

A very fine large and rare 18th century Qianlong period Chinese carved celadon glazed porcelain "lotus" vase, the stoutly potted globular body lightly carved with layers of overlapping lotus petals, the design repeated rising from and pendent from a single ring around the center of the waisted neck and overturned shaped rim, covered overall with a fine and evenly applied pale green celadon glaze. Remains of an old paper label of a retail antiques shop in Hong Kong. (Wooden stand not included)

REFERENCE : An almost identical Qianlong mark and period celadon glazed lotus vase, slightly smaller in size and has additional pair of handles, was included in Sotheby's London auction in November 1993. (See last image)

DATE : Chinese, Qing Dynasty, 18th century, Qianlong period (1736 1795).

MARK : The old hand written paper label on the base dated March 1939, and attributed the vase to the Chien-Lung (Qianlong) Period 1735-95.

SIZE : approximately 11 5/8" (29.5 cm) high.

CONDITION : in perfect condition with minor glaze wear only. No chips, no cracks, and no repairs.
