Two very good 19th century antique Chinese scholar's porcelain objects, comprising a green-glazed water pot of squared form with indented corners, decorated with a chilong climbing to the small opening at the top, covered overall in a rich green glaze, the base also glazed green and molded with a Qianlong seal mark, the second object is an unusual water-dropper, modeled in the form of Buddhist hand-citrus resting on a stand enameled in brown, the fruit painted in yellow with green leaves. DATE : Chinese, Qing Dynasty, 19th Century.
MARK : six-character Qianlong seal mark to the base of the water pot.
SIZE : water pot approximately 2 1/2" (6.5 cm) square, 2 1/4" (5.5 cm) high. Water-dropper 3 1/2" (9 cm) width, 2 1/4" (5.5 cm) high.
CONDITION : both pieces are in perfect condition save for two tiny shallow flakes to the underside of a leaf (see picture) only. No chips, no cracks, and no repairs.
