A good and unusual 18th / 19th century antique Chinese silver inlaid bronze tripod incense burner, the compressed circular vessel flanked by a pair of looped handles and supported on three small studded legs, finely inlaid in silvered-wire with the "ba jixian" (eight Buddhist emblems) around the body, a band of silver inlaid ruyi-heads just below the top rim, the handles also inlaid the C-scrolls, the metal of attractive chocolate-brown color with original patina, the base inlaid with a two-character "qing wan" (leisurely plaything) mark. (Wooden stand not included) DATE : Chinese, Qing Dynasty, 18th / 19th Century.
MARK : silvered-wire inlaid two-character "qing wan" seal mark on base.
SIZE : approximately 2 1/2" (6.4 cm) high, 6" (15.3 cm) across handles.
CONDITION : excellent condition with general wear commensurate with age, some areas of calcification around the base. No dents, no cracks, and no repairs.
