A fine large antique Chinese nephrite jade carving of a lotus pod, finely carved and pierced in the form of a large lotus pod with stems issuing from below, a smaller bud and a dragonfly aside, the pale-celadon jade with attractive patches of russet color and areas of calcification. (Wooden stand not included)

DATE : Chinese, Qing Dynasty, 19th Century or earlier.

MARK : no mark or signature.

SIZE : approximately 2 1/2" (6.3 cm) x 2" (5 cm).

CONDITION : excellent condition, minor stone fissures and small natural "chippings" to the calcified areas. No cracks or other damages, and no repairs.
