A pair of 19th century Chinese enameled blue and white porcelain bowls, of small size and finely potted, each bowl decorated with a band of interlinked swastika motif in iron-red and dots in yellow enamel between bands of "ruyi" in underglazed-blue, center of the bowl painted with an iron-red bat above which a double blue-circles around the rim, the base inscribed with a four-character Hall mark "Youyu-kuaizhai" in underglazed-blue. (Wooden stands not included). NOTE : The mark "Youyu-kuaizhai" can be translated as "The Hall of Fast Abundance".
DATE : Chinese, Qing Dynasty, mid-19th Century.
MARK : underglazed-blue four-character mark "Youyu-kuaizhai" in "kaishu" script on base of each bowl.
SIZE : approximately 1 7/8" (4.7 cm) high, 4 1/8" (10.5 cm) diameter.
CONDITION : both bowls in excellent condition, each bowl with minor enamel wear, one bowl has a small firing fault line near the foot rim (see photo), the other bowl with two small firing imperfection to the center. No chips, no cracks, and no repairs.
