This is a set of 12 sheets calendar from Keisuke Serizawa (1895-1984) , textile designer dated 1977. He was designated by the Japanese Gov't. as a Living National Treasure for his katazome stencil dyeing technique om 1956. Serizawa visited Okinawa several times and learned the Ryukyu bingata techniques of dyeing. He was also a leading member of the mingei movement founded by Yanagi Soetsu. This is a set of copperplate print book " Koueki Moncho Daizen " , books of family crests design vol. 1,2 and 3 dated Meiji 45 (1912 ). Vol. 1 has 49 pages including index, Vol.2 has 32 and Vol. 3 has 24 pages. There are various Kamon,family crest patterns and has Genjiko, forms used at incense ceremony , and instructions of how to design the family crest.
