Japanese 3 Woodblock Printed Books of Waves
A set of 3 woodblock printed books," Hamon-shu", is a collection of the different types of waves by Yuzan Mori, published by Unsodo of Kyoto and dated Showa 38 (1961). This set originally was published in Meiji 36 (1903) to use as reference book for kimono patterns and other various styles of dyeing. These 3 books have nothing but waves, so they are perfect to use as design reference tools. Each book has 25 pages. There are some stamps on upper areas which indicate that these books used to belong to lacquere store in Kyoto ( I think they used as a reference of design) and 3 front covers have some marks which seem like some stickers were removed ,but all desings are in good conditions. 9.5 " H x 6.5" W x3.8" Thick ( 24.1 cm H x 16.5 cm W x 9.7 cm Thick ) Weight is 1.05 oz (29.7g ) for the set.
