Details: These beautiful Japanese Saddle Panels are a particularly wonderful example of extensive gold lacquer detailing. It is especially distinctive, as a fine example of part of a saddle set made for the son of a very high ranking Samurai or Daimyo. The use of two family crests would also be another indication of that aspect. These are smaller in size that what would be used for an adult. Certainly rare for the fact that they were custom made in a specific size. The condition is very good with only a small amount of wear. NO RESERVE.
