This stamp appears to be from the reign of Thutmose lll, known as the "Nepolean of Egypt". The Seal measures 3.62" in length, 2.5" in height and 2.25" in width. I purchased this piece a few years back from an former collector of Egyptian antiquities. I also purchased a few Scarabs which to my uneducated eye do appear to be "right" This Seal has been broaken at some point in time and has been repaired. This wonderful Greek Kylix is the companion piece to an equally nice Lekythos also listed on my site. Both of the exceptional pieces were acquired through a trade with a fellow collector/dealer from the Chicago area several months back. Since its acquisition I have had an earlier restoration redone by a top restorer. The outstanding condition of the piece can be seen in the attached pictures.
