This is a very rare Black Pottery Minyao style Temple Vase. The vase has some very early repairs which attest to its importance to the Chinese culture. The Temple Vase was purchased from a dealer of over 50 years experience but than had never seen a vase of this style and age. I am including a picture from a past auction of a sixteenth century example of this style temple vase. This style of base is the only example that I have been able to find that lends a clue as to its historical origin. I c ...click for details

I have owned this Jade Ge for a number of years and am convinced that it is a very old piece. The Jade appears to be a mutton fat type of jade. Having worked with jade in the past, I can recognize the "orange peal surface" that makes getting a fine polish on Jade so difficult. The tip of the Ge has been worn down for some unknown reason. This is a very unusual and interesting Jade. If it is Neolithic or even ancient it could be very valuable. The Ge is 4.65"long, 1.63"wide, an ...click for details

Sold-Thanks China

This is an extremely well carved and polished Han Dynasty or Han style Jade Bi. I cannot authenticate it as Han, due to my very limited knowledge of Jade. I do however know when a piece is well crafted and without the usual artificial aging. The Bi is approx. 3.3" ion diameter and approx. .2" thick. I looks to be hand crafted and polished. Please feel free to email any questions.
