I have seen one or two child pieces in old auction catalogues but this is the first one I have seen during my years of collecting. The figure measures only two inches tall and the base is i.o"x1.0". The glaze is in excellent condition. This piece would have likely been included in the tomb of a small child.
This is a beautiful Flambe Oxblood B/W that is approx. 250 years of age. Doug was well known and respected by all who knew him. The B/W measures 9.25"x8.0"x2.5" not including the stand.
