This Ewer is a Duck-Shaped HU. The Ewer is made from a black clay and covered with a white slip. The piece has been high fired. As shown by the pictures, the Ewer has been damaged from its long burial. This piece has been in my personal collection for many years and has not previously been offered for sale. The Ewer measures 4.38"W, 5.75"L and 5.0" in height.
This is a Han Dynasty beaded necklace that is nominally 2000 years old. The necklace was won at auction from Anthony Allen, a well known dealer and author on Asian antiquities. This is a thickly potted and glazed Henan water Jar dating to the Song Dynasty. The Jar measures 2.75" in height and 2.75" in diameter. There are no repairs or damage to the Jar.

This is a Yuan Dynasty Cizou stoneware Stem Cup. The cup has been in my personal collection for several years. The Stem Cup is a "shipwreck" piece and still retains some encrustations on the base and interior surfaces. The cup is in good condition with the exception of two rim chips on the upper lip. This is a truly magnificent Glazed Guardian dating from the Tang Dynasty(AD608-AD907). The Guardian stands a full 35.5 inches tall. It is 12.25 inches wide and 10.5 inches from front to rear. Most of the San-Sai glaze and a good deal of the paint remain on this incredible figure(shown). The thumb of the figure has been re-attached and there is a small hole(shown) at the rear of the figure. This small area could be restored with minimal expense if desired. This wonderful Song/Jin Dynasty Jar(AD960-AD1368)that measures 16.5 inches tall and is 6.5 inches in diameter at its widest. It is rendered in a "chicken leg" style Meiping jar and is covered with a thick red/brown glaze. The top of the Amphora contains the remains of what must have been a lid to contain wine or oil at the time of burial. This is a very early and Rare figure of a Han Dynasty (206 BC-Ad 220) Court Lady. Figures of this particular type are difficult to find, even in today's unusual market. The figure still retains most of its facial and garment detail after two thousand years of burial. This is a Cizhou black glazed Meiping Vase. This is a heavily potted burial piece from the Song/Jin period(AD960-1234) The Vase has maintained most of its glaze despite its long burial. This is a Han Dynasty Green Glazed Ear cup. This item was placed in a Chinese Burial Tomb approximately 2000 +/- 200 years ago. The age and irradesence of it surface is the result of this long burial underground. Although an outstanding example of this type and style of Chinese pottery, this piece has been repaired after its retrieval from the Tomb.
