This is a Japanese Koto Wakazashi signed by the swordsmith TADAHYO and is dated to circa 1540(over 460 yrs old)The blade has a strong temper line as seen in the pictures. I have had the handle rewrapped. All parts are tight. The overall length of the Wak from the end of the Saya to the koshire(handle end), is 29.0 inches.The overall length from the end of the tang to the blade tip is 26.75 inches.
