Beautiful Renaissance Revival walnut Victorian library table. This is truly a spectacular table and was certainly created by one of the better manufacturers in 19th century America. We believe the table to be from the workshop of Thomas Brooks, based on a similar known example. There are many fine carvings and burled panels throughout. Drop finials at the corners. The table has a single drawer with internal dividers that runs the length of the face. The top has a burled edge surrounding a new burgundy leather top, and features a gold tooled edge, which was installed in our shop. We have refinished the table in shellac as it would have been originally.
