The middle section is higher, wider and deeper than the other two, which have beautiful carvings on the top. The entire case is decorated with raised burled panels and intricate carvings. The base has three dovetailed drawers with recessed burled panels and ornately carved pulls. The piece comes with three original locks and keys.

In each section there are adjustable solid walnut shelves custom made in our shop: four in the center, and three on each side. The bookcase comes apart in three sections for ease in moving, and due to its size it is very versatile.
