| A very old example of a so called "dualalan" sword from Sulawesi island, former Dutch East Indies Celebes. It comes from the Toradja people. The name dualalan means "double use" referring to the fact that it could be used both for headhunting as well as to sacrifice water buffaloes. Horn handle and endknob of the scabbard. Laminated iron blade with a forged "knot" near the handle. Condition: some wear to the handle, some rattan binding missing from the scabbard. Very good patina. Total length 69,5cm.
