This oil on board painting of old boats at sea. Purchased form an art dealer in Belgium. It is in excellent condition. I do not know the artist, but it is signed and estimated to be from the late 1800's. The frame, I believe could be the original, but it has suffered wear. Measure: 14 1/8" x 10 1/4" image size. Oil on Wood.

A friend of the artist was selling them in England. The artist died 6 years ago, and the friend/dealer was selling the last of his collection. Painted in Holland mid 1900's. This little painting is rather simplistic in composition, but still quite lovely. Unframed, in very good condition. Signed L.V. '23. Measures 11 3/4" x 14 3/4". Oil on artist board.
