Tres handsome! A pair of Antique Gilt Wood Finials from the South of France! Beautiful as objet d'art in a bookcase or lay them on a few antique books for a lovely world touch! The small one measures 3 1/2" long. The large one measures 5 1/4" long. Both are gilt with just the right amount of chipping, lovely patina!

I recently was able to purchase a box of Antique Documents from a Dealer in Paris. These documents appear to be letters, invoices, accounting and lease agreements. Beautifully written, the penmanship is excellent, brown ink on old paper or parchment...these are not reproductions. Some have the Imperial Seal and dated. These would be wonderful framed for a library or study. A beautiful part of French history. Most documents are at least 4 pages, and each of the larger pages measures 11 3/4" ...click for details
