This is a piece you will not see often. The ningen kokuho ( living national treasure )artist Kato Takuo ( 1917- 2005 )was famous for his recreation of ancient Chinese and Persian shapes and glazes. This is one of the nicest pieces of this type I have seen by him. It is in the form of a Tang dynasty ewer with sansai glaze. Perfect balance and delicate detail. The glaze fired perfectly as well. About 11" tall excellent condition signed and signed box. This piece would retail for into t ...click for details

Alonzo Hustito ( 1903-1989 )did not make much jewelry or many fetishes, what he did make was superb and often new and different, he is credited with inventing the now famous knifewing and rainbow man mosaic inlays in Zuni jewelry. He worked from about 1930 to about 1980 or so. This is a piece most likely from the 1970's and is rare in that it is signed by the artist. This shalako is similar to the ones that Helen Long is famous for but there are differences, it is very detailed and has so ...click for details

This is a very nice little box ( about 3" diameter ) made by Warren Mackenzie. I purchased this a Creighton University gallery benefit for the young widow of the head of the ceramics department a few years ago. I forget his name right now but will put it up here when I remember. This piece is not signed but there is no question as to who made it. Very Japanese "flavor". Excellent condition.

This was the nicest tea pot I have found by Ruthanne Tudball, one of England's premier artist potters. I purchased it several years ago and am selling much of my personal pottery collection. This pot is more intricate than her current work and was made about 15 years ago. Her tea pots retail for about $350 to $400 now, about 8" long and about 8" tall ( dimensions are approximate ). Excellent condition, never used. Signed.

This is a real find! A David Leach ( 1911-2005 ) teapot perfectly executed and fired from the Lowerdown pottery in his signature "foxglove" design with original cane handle, signed by the artist. David Leach was the son of perhaps the most famous art potter of the 20th century, Bernard Leach. Heavily influenced by his father and the mingei Japanese and also Chinese pottery, David went on to become a leading artist in his own right. His work is skyrocketing in value, two teapots tha ...click for details

I have seen three or four of these up for sale recently, two of which did not have full hallmarks. I have priced this bracelet at about 20% below retail for the fully hallmarked ones. Allen Kee worked at White Hogan with this relative Kenneth Begay for many years. Their work is very similar. This beautiful bracelet has Allen Kee's mark and the White Hogan mark. It is about 5 3/4" inside circumference PLUS a 1 1/8" gap and can be carefully adjusted. Excellent worn condition.
