| This is a really beautiful sculptural work of tribal art. Rare and finely carved using stone and shell ( shell scraping evident on the nicely patinated surface ). Reminds me of the woodland Native American carved burl bird bowls. Figural work from Santa Cruise is rare, and I have only seen two other examples of figural bowls. They are more common from the Admiralty Islands of Papua New Guinea. This great piece is about 14.1" long by about 4.3 by 4.1". No repair or restoration. Excellent used condition. | ||
