Etruscan bucchero kylix with raised floor, offset rim and triangular handles. Standing on a short slightly flared foot and decorated with concentric lines on the outside belly. A couple of Sumerian shell beads or pendants of annular shape with pierced knobs for suspension. The items remind Sumerian shell money cut from cone shaped shells brought from the Mediterranean shore. Shell money has been found at various sites in the Near East, primarily at the locations of the early cities of Mesopotamia and along the trade routes between Assyria and Sumer. Large hand-modeled Boeotian centaur with raised arms. Vivid rendition of the male head with pointed beard, prominent nose, neatly impressed eyes and wild hair. The elongated body of the horse with remains of white pigment and red varnish stripes. The color decoration is reminiscent of the 7th century BC Boeotian production.
