Veiled Gothic female head with very small almond shape eyes, a prominent well preserved nose and pointed lips. The sideward locks on the temples still show traces of yellow pigment. Partially covered ears and remains of a veil behind.
The upper part of the head has been reworked and chiselled off in the round. The roughened surface with remains of plaster used to render the new calotte.
Pleasant courtly aesthetic characteristic for the Christian mystic movement of the early 14th century AD.
